People slave every fucking day working their asses off 'cause there's mouths to feed and rents to pay abd thats how the governement wants things to stay 'cause they prosper from our ignorance and as long as the masses lack the ability to understand the complexity of goverment politics bureaucracy can be used to alienate us from what controls our lives they have us well in hand but we can take command 'cause they only have power as long as we let them this charade called democracy is profiting from our loss this charade called democracy no reprensent us

I woke up at 4 AM couldn't go back to sleep they were fighting outside my window I heard a bottle smashed to the street there was blood on the sidewalk people were walking by pretending not to see until somebody stopped and called the police its the same old story its not the first time it won't be the last the cpos pulled up and an officer asked whats going on? she answered in a trembling voice he didn't do anything she said its all my fault it must have been something i said something i did he says hes sorry she says it is OK its all my fault she just keeps on blaming herself blaming herself afraid of losing the little she has she would rather stay in this situation keep on living in this abusive relation "cause they thaught her its best for the children to grow up with both mom and dad

What exactly did you expect me to understand? Is that accepting me for who I am Cracking racist jokes expecting me not to be offended 'cause you consider yourself my friend So in my insecurity I pretended to be amused by your bigotry Came here when I was two years old Grew up in a small town People whispered behind my back Looking me up and down I'm tired Always being abused a potential criminal I'm constantly reminded of the difference between me and you It doesn't hurt as much as it used too So I've learned to respect myself I've learned to trust again And not to feel ashamed Of where I'm from or who I am All my life I've been reminded that I don't belong here!

I wish it was summer The sun would shine I had nothing to do but to waste my time We could hang out Riding our bikes I'd shave your head And you could help me with my spikes But it isn't summer It's cold outside I'm overworked And got no time To do all the things we talked about To do all the things we talked about I'm gettin my dreads done You're growing your hair long Nothing's what it used to be I guess I'll have the memories to carry them with me Autumn winter spring I'll be holding on to yesterday the summer came und went away too fast I wish it was summer The sun would shine I had nothing to do but to waste my time We could hang out Riding our bikes I'd shave your head And you could help me with my spikes But it isn't summer It's cold outside I'm overworked And got no time To do all the things we talked about To do all the things we talked about I'm gettin my dreads done You're growing your hair long Nothing's what it used to be I guess I'll have the memories to carry them with me Autumn winter spring I'll be holding on to yesterday the summer came und went away too fast

Comfortable lives in a capitalist democracy Feeling safe and secure until they take it away Consumed by greed Pacified in apathy Were disinformed to fit the norm that corporations and media created Stimulated but constantly unsatisfied we are manipulated To value commodities higher than justice Higher than equality higher than justice Our standard of life is measured by what we own Subdued kept happy and blind Unconsiously confined Kept on your knees no one bites the hand that feeds In a state of conformity where we value commodities higher than justice

More To Life 01:37
I was easily convinced and taught what to believed took me years to realize that i like many others had been deceived so i set off to find my own through dreams redefine my life my values Tired of being just another cog in their machinery Don't be scared of living there's more to life than what they offer you Don't sell your dreams reclaim control of your life take back what the stole from you

They globolize hunger and they globalize war make people into commodities and they profit even more how muck longer can we act as passive bystanders? while 3/4 of the human race are living in extreme poverty while 3/4 of the human race are dying in extreme poverty in the strangehold of capitalism some say we make mountains out of moleills but if we dont compormise with human lives every comprimise is a failure one step forward two steps back if they globalize resistance dont let silence be an option

Is that really you or just a mantel of identity you throw on as sonn someone is around then get undressed tear it down this wall of expectations to fit into the congregation dress codes attitudes brought to you by some money hungry corporation its all make-believed a rebellion cut to fit and made acceptable is this really us or are we becoming just another product formed and confined by the expectations of others of who we are and what we should do but if we only aimed to please you we would still be playing the same old songs as yesterday and if you dont understand what i mean... well what can i say? 'hero of our time' was a funny song back then nut to play it today would be king of lame...

Pecan Pie 01:37
Oh what i would give for a good cup of coffee And some pecan pie at that cafe in Guelph I know a really good record store along the way But i'm keeping that to myself Oh i've been home for too long I'm fed-up with myself and my daily routine And though i know i miss you It's gonna be nice To get back on the road again We're going to new places meeting new people Familiar faces in the cities we have played before Take a detour to the record store It's going to be nice To get myself some pecan pie

Up For Sale 01:38
Sings us to sleep they've written a song for the masses to hum a rabble thought to dace to amind numbing rhythm moving their feet to the beat of a drum sing us to sleep and fuck us over create a new market increase the demand for some useless product who no one really needs sell us a lifestyle a new personality for every occasion sell us a lifestyle punk rocks for sale at your nearest gas station all our ideals are up for sale to the highest bidder commercialized misured abused and thrown you with the rest of the litter sing us to sleep and fuck us over

Diversity 02:50
Lay down some general outlines guiding principals but one thing we don't need is the ten commandments on how to be accepted into a movement that claims to be free from any order of hierarchy. So why not let this be a place to relax and make life seem a little less mundane. Leave room for improvement! Diversity! If we build up walls to surround ourselves and keep on preaching to the converted soon this movement will be deserted, there will be no one left to read the statements. I'm not saying this is only entertainment, but how do you expect to reach out to people with a different point of view, or expose unaware kids to something new if they don't feel welcome 'cause they don't agree with everything you say and do? Lets not make this an exclusive club for the self-proclaimed eminent few
